Mr. Rajkumar began his business career on a path that is rare among other business executives. Having earned his Associates degree in the field of Aeronautics, his goal was to complement his natural technical savvy with a strong foundation in business. The best way to do this, he felt was to start his own business.

He started out as a Real Estate investor, and was the owner of several investment properties which includes a few apartment complexes and family homes. He also worked as the manager and part owner of apartment buildings in New York. To add to his numerous business exploits, he was also the owner of a travel agency and three liquor stores in New York. His recent activities include development of the Arawak Hotel and night spot in Corriverton, which he owns and manages. He also owns real estate
in Georgetown and also currently manages his vast gold mining properties at (OKO/ ARAWAK) in the Cuyuni mining district 4. Along with that he also manages a number of other small –scale mining operations.

Being ever conscious of the environment and the negative effect of plastics on the eco-system, Mr. Rajkumar’s latest business venture is the newly acquired Arawak Bioplastics Products (ABP). This facility will create products which are less expensive and are bio-degradable which is less harmful to the environment. This project is 100% in keeping with the Government of Guyana’s “Green Initiative”.

More recently, he has developed the Ramraj & Rappy Foundation which is an orphanage dedicated to his parents. This foundation is Mr. Rajkumar’s way of giving back to the community and helping the less fortunate. The orphanage will be home to over fifty (50) children under the age of ten (10) years old. This project should be fully operational by mid-2017. As an extension of that he is a senior member of the URP party and is devoting his time, energy and money to assist in establishment and development the URP which he hopes will help to create a sustainable way of life for all Guyanese.
