Pastor Wendell Jeffrey

Pastor Jeffrey is an international Journalist with Press credentials from The Nation Newspaper, the Trinidad Express and the GINA organizations. He has served as a political consultant in Barbados, Guyana and the USA. While working as a Journalist in Barbados in the early 90’s he opened a consultancy agency and provided services to businesses and politicians. He also returned to Guyana briefly to work for the late President Desmond Hoyte is his 1992 bid for reelection. In 2003 Pastor Jeffrey worked with Juan Manigult in his bid for the Mayorship for the City of South Bend, Indiana, USA.

Pastor Jeffrey is the founder and president of the Practical Christianity Ministries, headquartered in South Bend, IN. The organization is registered in both the USA and Guyana and caters to providing social services to ex-offenders and recovering addicts. In 2006 he wrote a 13-part lecture series, titled Practical Talk. The course is used by the Indian Department of Corrections as a best practice for reentry and rehabilitation. Pastor Jeffrey is a Criminologist and Prison Chaplain and has worked with several prisons across the USA, Barbados, Suriname, Guyana and French Guiana.

Pastor Jeffrey serves as a Director and member of several Boards in a cross section of organizations which includes the Inter Religious Organization (IRO), where he is the Public Relations Officer, The Guyana Inter Religious TV Station, Inc. (GIRTV), The Loo Creek Consortium (LCC) (the body that has been charged with building Guyana’s first Seventh-day Adventist University), The Loo Creek Development Group (LCDG) (a group of farmers and developers responsible of 500 acres of land on the Linden Highway).
